Historical Rhode Island

Founded in 1681, Bristol is one of the oldest settlements in the state, as well as one of the most historic. It is the home of the nation’s first Fourth of July parade (dating back to 1777), and also boasts a legacy of ship and yacht building that goes back centuries.

Tight-Knit

If community is what you’re looking for, Bristol is perfect. A self-contained town by the waterfront, Bristol boasts a range of restaurants and bars, boutique stores (as well as larger brands), plus numerous attractions, eateries, and great spots. Why leave?

Take to the Water

Even by the standards of the Ocean State, Bristol has a waterfront worth writing home about. There’s even extensive “housing” for boats with 800 moorings spread across seven different mooring fields, as well as yacht clubs and marinas. Oh, fun fact; more than half of the town is water!
