Welcome to Foster!

Foster is the definition of cute rural living. Nestled in the woods, Foster is perfect for those who want to live away from the hustle and bustle. In this episode, take an alternative approach to healing, visit Rhode Island’s only covered bridge, and raise a glass to one of the state’s finest vineyards.

Rural Life

Foster is surrounded by hiking trails, woodland vistas, and hidden ponds. In the summer and fall, enjoy festivals, fetes, and outdoor pursuits, while in the winter take in the beautiful scenery after a snowfall. The woods are also full of deer and turkey, in case you want to hunt your own!

Easy City Access

Despite being in the woods, Foster 101 connects directly with Route 6 which will get you into the heart of Providence in 30 minutes. TF Green is only 40 minutes away.

Historic

Foster keeps one foot in the past, and the town is full of historic properties and locations. A prime example is Foster Town House, the oldest government building in the nation, built in 1796 – and it is still in use today!

Highlighted Local Spots
